Suburb Food Spotlight: Willoughby
Willoughby is a suburb of Cleveland, located about 20 miles east of the city. Walking through downtown Willoughby, you almost feel like you are travelling back in time. So many original buildings have been re-purposed into some of the restaurants and stores that we’re featuring. Home to Lake County’s longest-running outdoor market and amazing local businesses, there are no shortage of things to see and grub to eat! We recommend these places if you ever find yourself in the delightful and historical Willoughby.
For The Brunch Bunch:
This restaurant is a newer addition to Willoughby, but they are fitting in just fine! They recently expanded their hours, so now you can enjoy the Chagrin River Diner for breakfast, lunch and, on some nights, dinner! Be sure to come here hungry, especially if you order the Lunker or the Breakfast Tacos. Feeling adventurous? You can ask to add steel head fish to some of their dishes!
Looking for an ever-evolving menu? Check out Crepes In The City, a French-inspired creperie with many creative offerings. Crepes In The City does not just offer your traditional sweet crepes. On their menu, you can find a Greek crepe, a Mexican crepe, and even a chocolate bacon crepe. Bonus: you can add ice cream to their dessert crepes for an extra charge. Who says no to ice cream?!
For The Wine Lovers:
Corks Wine Bar was named one of Cleveland’s Best Wine Bar and we understand why: they offer daily wine flights in an atmosphere styled after Europe’s extensive collection of wine bars. Corks offers an ever-changing wine list of over 30 varieties! You can build your own charcuterie board to pair with your pours or match your wine flights with different gourmet chocolates.
