Now Open: Ohio City Galley in Ohio City

Newly opened on the corner of W 25th and Detroit is Ohio City Galley. Ohio City Galley is a restaurant incubator hoping to help launch new restaurant concepts in Cleveland. Their mission is to “cultivate and accelerate aspiring restaurateurs by providing a forum to showcase their capabilities, hone their craft, develop business acumen, and build a cult following behind their concepts.”

The galley hosts four different kitchens and 200 seats plus a fully stocked bar. Each restaurant has full control over their kitchen, staff, and menu. Currently Ohio City Galley hosts Sauce the City, The Rice Shop, Poca, and Tinman.

Sauce the City specializes in chicken, focusing on owner Victor’s specialty D’E’TE’ Seasoning Sauce. Read more about Sauce the City, here.

The Rice Shop features unique rice bowl combinations that use Southern American techniques and Asian ingredients. Combinations include BBQ Pork Belly with Sambal Sour Cream, and Kentucky Fried Fish and Asian Slaw. Owner Anthony started The Rice Shop in Las Vegas and decided to bring The Rice Shop back to his home town to expand the brand. Read more about The Rice Shop, here.

TINMAN, a concept born in Cleveland, focuses on nostalgic dining with items such as Fried Bologna, Pot Roast, and Crispy Chicken and Dumplings. Brothers, and owners, Michael and Tom Schoen bring years of experience to the concept. Read more about TINMAN, here.

Poca is a casual Mexican concept owner by Michael Nowak, a 20-year veteran of the Cleveland restaurant scene. Poca features fresh ingredients locally sourced whenever possible. Note – the menu at Poca is almost entirely gluten free. Read more about Poca, here.

The bar features happy hour 4:30-6:30 pm Monday – Friday with ½ off beer and wine and $8 charity cocktails. It hosts an impressive beer line-up. See the menu, here.
